Start off your script by importing the two external packages that we need: cmds and random (to generate the random colour values later on) import maya.cmds as cmds import random Step 8: Create the hat components Pick your favourite text editor and make a python file called hatCreator.py in one of the locations listed. I will touch on render resolutions and different render settings like using your CPU vs GPU to render your images. This will display the paths in the output window above the editor. We will then conclude with the final step which is rendering a realistic image of the doughnut using the Arnold renderer that comes with Autodesk Maya. After all of this is when we will go over lighting where i will touch on different lights found in Maya and the settings to use when adding them on a scene. After we are done with the modelling I will talk about texturing and adding materials to 3d models will briefly go over the different materials found in Maya and how to manipulate them. I will talk about how to smoothen the shape then we will proceed to add subdivisions on the 3d models will briefly touch on the sculpting tools in Maya from which we will use to sculpt in some extra realistic details so as to add more realism on the models. We will also proceed to create a torus shape form which we will carefully using Maya's modelling tools deform and tweak to create the rough shape of the doughnut. I will talk about the various object primitives found in Maya and explain the differences. After all this we will begin on the making doughnut. I will then proceed to guide you on how to work with projects and how to save files in Maya. I will go over the basics of the user interface in Maya 2022.
